Tonight..Along the coast, southwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. In the gulf stream, south southwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming west 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas to 6 feet. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Showers with Thunderstorms likely.
Saturday..West northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet with occasional seas to 5 feet. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers in the morning, then slight chance of showers in the afternoon.
Saturday night..Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas less than 2 feet along the coast and 2 to 3 feet in the gulf stream. Period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.
Sunday and Sunday night..Northeast winds around 10 knots with gusts to around 20 knots. Seas around 2 feet along the coast and 2 to 3 feet in the gulf stream. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Synopsis.. Fresh to strong s-ssw breezes are expected today, with near gale force gusts possible for the atlantic and outer gulf waters. Winds will then veer nw behind a cold front later this evening into Saturday. A small craft advisory is in effect for all local waters from tonight through Saturday morning for winds and waves. Shower and Thunderstorm chances will increase today, with a few strong storms possible. Rain chances should gradually come to an end late tonight into Saturday morning.
Gulf stream hazards..SEas of 7 feet or higher are possible through tonight. The approximate location of the west wall of the gulf stream as of apr 18, 2019 at 1200 utc... 7 nautical miles east northeast of fowey rocks. 16 nautical miles east northeast of port everglades. 11 nautical miles east northeast of lake worth. 12 nautical miles northeast of jupiter inlet.
