Synopsis..A broad surface ridge of high pressure will drift east over the western atlantic through the remainder of the week in response to a strong upper level system and surface cold front approaching from the west. A strong southerly flow is expected ahead of the front by late Thursday. Numerous showers and Thunderstorms are expected ahead and along the front late Thursday and Thursday night with some storms likely becoming strong to severe. A strong northwest flow is expected in the wake of the front Friday through early Saturday.
