at 1056 pm pdt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of cape mendocino to 37 nm southwest of eureka, moving northeast at 25 knots.

Synopsis for northern california waters..Split wind flow up to 15 kt will develop today, wnw south of shelter cove and southerly winds north of cape mendocino. After a brief surge of southerly winds along a frontal boundary this evening, breezy northwesterly winds will return to the waters on Friday and persist through Sunday, especially in the southern waters. Another weak front is expected to move through along with a small, nw swell at 14 to 15 seconds.
