at 1056 pm pdt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of cape mendocino to 37 nm southwest of eureka, moving northeast at 25 knots.

Synopsis for northern california waters..Calmer winds will lead to short period seas continually dropping below 6 feet through Thursday. Calmer conditions will persist with only isolated enhancement of northerlies around cape mendocino. After a brief surge of southerly winds along a frontal boundary Thursday evening, breezy northwesterly winds will return to the waters on Friday and persist through Sunday, especially in the southern waters. Another weak front is expected to move through along with an additional mid-period swell late this weekend.
