Synopsis..
light winds generally from the southeast will prevail over lake michigan tonight through Thursday as high pressure of 30.3 inches continues to influence the great lakes region. Low pressure of 29.1 inches will develop across the great plains on Friday and move northeast towards lake superior by Saturday afternoon. Strong southeast winds will develop across the lake on Friday as this low moves north, and will through the day on Saturday with wave heights approaching 9-10 ft. Gales are possible Friday night through Saturday, but uncertainty remains given stability in the low levels of the atmosphere.
another area of low pressure will move across the great lakes region Sunday and Monday which will again bring breezy south winds across lake michigan. The second low will move north of the great lakes Monday and Tuesday allowing for winds to become westerly. Showers and Thunderstorms are likely across the lake this weekend as the low pressure areas move through the region.
