Tricia

Just pointed to your L-36 site!

Very nice work keeping the L-36 a living boat!

My father was James Patrick LESLIE (Pat) who was instrumental in bring the L-36 to Vancouver, BC. I was a 6 year old when he helped build his boat TRICIA with Winsome111 and Nutmeg, out of Taylor boat works on the Fraser river. Those boats were launched in 1959 and had the distinct colors of RED(Tricia), Green(Winsome111) and Nutmeg for you guessed right, Nutmeg!

Many summers were spent racing the local waters with wonderful cruising memories created between racing! My dad sailed/races Tricia till the mid 1970's, then sold the wonderful L-36 for a Maple Leaf 42. The hull was built in Vancouver, delivered to my Dad's back yard, where he completed the boat himself with a little help. He sailed that boat single handed till he was 83 years old, when he sold it. My father passed away in 2004, and I still have many boxes of photos to go through, and will pass on any L-36 info to your site. As a point of interest, Ches RICHARD, owner of L-36 WINSOME, and many other boats, is an excellent sailor, is residing in West Vancouver, BC with his wife. He has set many records with L-36 Winsome 111 in the Swiftsure races, cruised many oceans in many other Winsome yachts.

All I can say, is that L-36 introduced many people to the wonders of sailing! It gives me great pleasure to see your website.

If anyone knows of where TRICIA, boat #23 from TAYLOR BOAT YARD has sailed to, that would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the great wed site.

Cam Leslie
