GMZ800 Synopsis For The Coastal Waters From Bonita Beach To Suwannee River- 832 Pm Est Sat Jan 20 2018
Synopsis..With surface high pressure to our north, winds will generally be out of the northeast between 5-15 knots before taking an onshore component near the coast in the afternoon due to the development of a weak seabreeze. No headlines are expected over the next several days... Winds will veer to the southeast on Monday and Tuesday ahead of an approaching cold front. Due to cold sea surface temperatures, increasing moisture ahead of the front will create the possibility for sea fog, especially Monday night into Tuesday. Later in the work week, easterly winds will increase to possible cautionary/advisory levels as a north oriented pressure gradient tightens.

Update
A short wave trough moving east along the northern gulf
coast is supporting a large canopy of mid and high level
clouds over the forecast area this evening. Evening raob
data confirms this with an increase in moisture noted from
700mb and above. 88d returns are showing some patches of
light rain over the gulf, but dry stable air below 700mb
should keep overall rain chances quite low the remainder of
the night, though a few sprinkles or light showers can't be
rules out across the nature coast counties later tonight
as the above mentioned short wave approaches. With light to
calm winds and a slow uptick in dew points some patchy fog
will be possible over inland locations and in the normally
fog prone areas toward morning and will retain a mention of
in the grids and zones. Temperatures will be milder than
previous nights will lows in the upper 40s across the
nature coast, and lower to mid 50s central and south.

Current forecast is on track with no evening update required
at this time.

Aviation
Some brief MVFR ifr vsbys from fog may impact klal and kpgd
terminals between 09-13z, otherwiseVFR will prevail at all
sites during the next 24 hours. Light and variable winds the
remainder of tonight will become east to southeast at 7 to
10 knots after 15z on Sunday.

Marine
With surface high pressure to our north, winds will generally
be out of the northeast between 5-15 knots before taking an
onshore component Sunday afternoon due to the development
of a weak seabreeze. No headlines are expected over the next
several days. Winds will veer to the southeast on Monday and

surface temperatures, increasing moisture ahead of the front
will create the possibility for sea fog. Later in the work

forecast is in good shape with no changes expected in the
late evening update.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
