Aviation
Some areas MVFR ceilings will be possible during mid to late
morning once daytime heating gets underway, then scattered
convection this afternoon and evening will cause MVFR local ifr
conditions. Light winds will become east to northeast this
morning, then shift to west to northwest at the coastal TAF sites
of tpa, pie, srq this afternoon as the sea breeze develops. East
coast sea breeze will move westward early this evening shifting
winds back to east to northeast at all sites.

Prev discussion issued 329 am edt Wed jun 28 2017
short term (today - Thursday)...

troughing extends from new england southward along the eastern
seaboard. A little closer to home, a typical summer time pattern
will continue over the region. Upper level ridging extends over the
bahamas westward through west central and southwest florida and into
the gulf of mexico. This pattern will hold through the period with
very little variation through the week. On the surface, subtropical
high pressure near bermuda ridges west-southwest over southern
florida. A weak frontal boundary over northern florida washes out
and dissipates as high pressure moves off the mid-atlantic coast by
Wednesday evening. This will keep a general east-northeast through
southeast wind flow over the region through the week. Rain chances
will be typical for the summer time with 40-60 pops each day through
the week, with the highest coverage over the interior counties.

Temperatures will remain near seasonal averages with upper 80's to
low 90's during the day and overnight lows in the mid 70's.

Long term (Thursday night-Tuesday)...

weak ridging will be in place aloft through the period. Weak surface
high pressure will also ridge across the area from the atlantic
through the period. Light generally SE predominant flow will give
way to a sea breeze each afternoon and evening with scattered to
numerous showers and thunderstorms developing along the boundary.

Temperatures will be near normal through the period.

Marine... High pressure will remain fixed over the waters
through the week and into the weekend with light winds and
favorable boating conditions. Isolated marine thunderstorms
will be possible each day from the late afternoon through
overnight and early morning hours. These storms may produce
locally gusty winds and increased seas, but otherwise, no
widespread marine impacts are expected.

Fire weather...

no fire weather concerns for the next several days as relative
humidity values will remain above critical levels. No significant
fog is expected for the next few days.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
