Discussion
The synoptic pattern across the region features shortwave energy
moving overhead with a surface front stalled south of the state, low
pressure moving toward the southeastern gulf of mexico, and high
pressure to our north over the southeast. All of this has set up a
wet, dreary, and cool day across much of the forecast area. Areas to
the south of the i-4 corridor have had the most continuous rainfall,
although amounts are not that high, with areas to the north receiving
more off and on light showers. As we head through the rest of today
and into tonight, rainfall will begin to taper off, though interior
areas and locations to the south will continue to keep a 20 to 30
percent chance overnight and even into Wednesday.

Drier air finally moves into the region for the end of the week and
into the weekend, allowing mostly sunny skies to return and
temperatures to warm back into the 70s. Dew points are also forecast
to be in the 40s and 50s Thursday through Saturday, which will make
it feel quite nice outside. Conditions moderate for Sunday and
Monday, with both temperatures and dew points going up by a few
degrees.

Aviation
Off and on light showers will continue over the region through the
first part of tonight. MainlyVFR conditions will prevail through
the rest of the day for most sites, but kpgd, kfmy, and krsw will
continue to see frequent MVFR ifr cigs. Rain will start to taper off
tonight, with additional low ceiling development possible overnight,
especially for the southwest florida sites.

Marine
Northeast winds continue this afternoon, though they remain below
advisory or cautionary levels at this time. Having said that, expect
that winds will increase again starting tonight. Wind speeds will
then diminish some through the end of the week and even more so
through the weekend.

Fire weather
Rainfall will gradually come to an end tonight through Wednesday,
with some drier air moving over the region for the end of the week.

Relative humidity values will dip close to critical values Thursday
and Friday, but no red flag conditions are expected at this time. No
significant fog is expected.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
