Discussion (today - next Wednesday)
The line of showers along the cold front moving through the
interior and southwest florida at this time will exit the region
before sunrise with some lingering patches of light rain for a
few hours behind the boundary. Breezy northwest winds behind the
front will usher in much cooler drier air, but this air moving
over the rather warm gulf waters will lead to abundant low clouds
into this afternoon. Skies will clear tonight with northerly winds
continuing to advect drier air southward allowing temperatures to
dip into the upper 30s north to lower 50s near the coast from
around tampa bay southward. For Friday and Friday night surface
high pressure will settle over the lower mississippi valley with
the cool dry pattern persisting. On Saturday this high drifts east
into the southeast states and weakens on Sunday as the next cool
front approaches. This will shift low level winds to a more
northeast direction beginning the gradual moderating trend with
temperatures returning to near normal values by Sunday. Early next
week the weakening cool front will move across the region with
another area of high pressure setting up across the eastern u.S.

Continuing the fair weather and general northeast flow with near
normal temperatures and no rain expected at this time.

Aviation
Line of showers along cool front will move across the remainder of
the region over the next few hours causing some MVFR local ifr
conditions. Then MVFR ceilings are expected to continue into early
this afternoon as cooler drier air moves into the area on northwest
winds of 10 to 15 knots with some higher gusts.VFR conditions
should return by late afternoon and evening with skies clearing
during tonight. Winds will remain around 10 knots and shift to
north during the night.

Marine
Breezy northwest to north flow behind the cool front will continue
today with small craft advisory conditions expected then diminishing
to cautionary levels tonight. Winds and seas will continue to
subside during Friday and shift to northerly before veering to
northeasterly over the weekend as high pressure builds in from the
north. Northeast to north winds will continue early next week at
less than 15 knots.

Fire weather
Relative humidity values could dip to around 35 percent for a
couple of hours Friday afternoon, otherwise relative humidity
values will remain above critical levels with no fire weather
hazards expected for the next several days. No significant fog is
anticipated.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
