Synopsis.. High pressure ridging over the area produces pleasant and mostly rain-free weather conditions through the weekend. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at 10 knots or less through the weekend, then shifting to the south-southwest by Sunday. Winds further shift to the north-northeast on Monday and Tuesday and increase to 15-20 knots. Winds then veer to the east and decrease to around 10 knots by the middle of next week. No other marine impacts are expected.

Area of morning low clouds and fog in central and southern zones to burn off and mix out shortly. Expect mostly sunny to partly clouds skies and a slight chance of afternoon showers today with well above normal to near record temps. Latest grids and forecasts on track. Aviation Area of low clouds and fog to burn off mix out in the next few hours with mainlyVFR conditions and southerly winds expected rest of the day. Prev discussion issued 346 am est Sat feb 23 2019 discussion... a strong upper high east of the bahamas continues to ridge west to dominate the weather over florida. This ridge extends from the bahamas westward over florida and into the gulf of mexico keeping a warm and moist southwest wind flow over the area. This pattern continues through next Tuesday when the pattern becomes more zonal over the u.S. On the surface, high pressure east of the bahamas ridges west over florida and into the gulf of mexico. This will keep mostly rain-free conditions and unseasonably warm temperatures over the area through the weekend and into next week. The next chance of rain will be on Tuesday and Wednesday as a weak front stalls over the area. Temperatures will continue to be well above normal with mid to upper 80's expected through the weekend. A slight cool down expected to start next week but still some 3-5 degrees above normal. |
