West of the marquesas keys, seas 2 to 3 feet, building to 4 to 5 feet this afternoon. NEarshore waters a moderate chop, becoming very rough. Scattered showers and isolated Thunderstorms this morning, then isolated showers this afternoon. Winds and seas higher in and around Thunderstorms.
Tonight..Northwest to north winds near 25 knots, becoming north to northeast 20 to 25 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet. West of the marquesas keys, seas 7 to 9 feet, subsiding to 6 to 7 feet after midnight. NEarshore waters extremely rough, becoming very rough.
Friday..North to northeast winds near 20 knots, becoming northeast and briefly decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet, subsiding to 2 to 4 feet. West of the marquesas keys, seas 5 to 6 feet, subsiding to 4 to 5 feet. NEarshore waters rough, becoming a light to moderate chop.
Friday night..Northeast to east winds increasing to 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet, except 3 to 4 feet west of the marquesas keys. NEarshore waters a moderate chop.

Synopsis..Gentle to moderate southeast breezes will veer to the south and southwest through this morning as a cold front approaches, and moves through the forecast area. The cold front will also bring rounds of shower and Thunderstorm activity this morning, which will taper off by the afternoon. Freshening west to northwest breezes are expected behind the front, and a brief blast of strong breezes is forecast tonight. Breezes will begin to veer back to the east and decrease Friday night through Saturday, and moderate east to southeast breezes will prevail through Monday night.
