Synopsis for hawaiian coastal waters.. A surface trough near oahu will move steadily west through tonight, and will be west of kauai by Wednesday. NEar gale-force northeast winds will prevail west of the trough axis, with moderate easterly trade winds east of the trough. After the trough exits the area, high pressure far northeast of the islands will support moderate to fresh trade winds into the weekend.
