Tonight..Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy becoming smooth after midnight. Patchy fog until early morning. Showers and a slight chance of Thunderstorms.

Synopsis for high island to matagorda ship channel out 60 nm.. Light southeast winds this morning will be strengthening today as the pressure gradient tightens. Caution flags might be needed for the increasing winds and building seas this afternoon. Look for widespread rain...possible embedded Thunderstorms and some brief sea fog tonight through Sunday morning as a storm system moves across the area. Mainly light north to northeast winds behind this system Sunday night and Monday will become east to southeast Monday night and Tuesday as the next storm system and associated rains move across the area.
