Synopsis.. The axis of atlantic ridging will remain positioned across northeast florida through Thursday, maintaining southerly winds throughout our local waters. A disturbance aloft will move across our local waters late tonight and Thursday morning, bringing widespread showers and a few Thunderstorms. Atlantic ridging will then shift south of our region as tropical storm cristobal begins to move northward across the southern gulf of mexico on Friday, resulting in prevailing southwesterly winds for our local waters. Cristobal is expected to reach the northern gulf coast region late this weekend, with showers and Thunderstorms expected to increase in coverage by late Saturday and Sunday as southerly winds prevail locally.
