Tonight..East winds 15 to 20 knots during the evening, diminishing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 feet with a dominant period of 8 seconds. A moderate chop on the intracoastal waters. Slight chance of showers and Thunderstorms in the evening. Chance of showers and a slight chance of Thunderstorms after midnight.

Synopsis.. High pressure will remain situated to the north of our region through Friday, maintaining a brisk onshore flow pattern with persistently elevated seas. Weak inverted troughs will continue to migrate westward across our coastal waters, bringing periods of showers and embedded Thunderstorms. Meanwhile, long period swells from distant tropical storm epsilon will arrive on Thursday and will persist into the weekend, with seas likely maintaining small craft advisory level heights offshore and building to advisory levels by Thursday evening. Winds and seas will gradually diminish well ahead of an approaching cold front this weekend.
Gulf stream.. The approximate location of the west wall of the gulf stream as of oct 20, 2020 at 1200 utc... 44 nautical miles east northeast of flagler beach. 53 nautical miles east of saint augustine beach. 69 nautical miles east southeast of jacksonville beach. 74 nautical miles east southeast of st simons island.
