Synopsis for the southern california coast and santa barbara channel including the channel islands national marine sanctuary and national park..At 02z, or 7 pm pdt, a 1026 mb surface high was centered 600 nm nw of point conception and a 1004 mb thermal low was over phoenix. An extended period of local gale force winds and widespread choppy seas will be common all week.
