Synopsis for the central california coast and bays including the Monterey bay..Greater farallones...and cordell bank national marine sanctuaries...
rain has begun and will continue through much of the night into early Thursday morning, with the remainder of Thursday looking mostly dry. Current fresh southerly winds have already begun to turn westerly as the cold front moves through. A second more impactful rain system will reach the region Friday, bringing moderate precipitation, gusty southerly winds, and will allow for wave heights to build. This second system will create widespread conditions that are hazardous to small craft. Northwesterly swell continues with a new long period northwesterly swell arriving early next week.
