Synopsis for the central california coast and bays including the Monterey bay..Greater farallones...and cordell bank national marine sanctuaries...
northwesterly winds strengthen from a gentle to a fresh breeze with strong gusts expected beginning this afternoon. Winds will continue to strengthen heading into the late week with strong gusts becoming more widespread over the outer and inner coastal waters. Significant wave heights will build to 10 to 13 ft by the late weekend with elevated wave heights to continue into next week.
