Winds remain lighter near the coast but significant wave energy spreading from the outer waters will keep moderately steep seas for inner waters. Small craft advisories and gale warnings remain in effect through Wednesday. Winds and seas briefly subside Thursday and Friday as the strongest pressure gradient pushes farther offshore. looking ahead to the weekend, a building ridge of high pressure will cause north winds to ramp back up across the outer waters. This will likely bring a return of steep, and advisory-level seas by Saturday night and Sunday. |
