at 1056 pm pdt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of cape mendocino to 37 nm southwest of eureka, moving northeast at 25 knots.

Synopsis for northern california waters..Northerly winds are forecast to continue to strengthen tonight mainly over the outer zones. Gale force gusts are also highly probable in the lee of cape mendocino and around pt st george each afternoon and evening through Wednesday. Steep northerly waves will steadily build, peaking at 13 to 14 ft in the outer waters Tue and Wed before winds and seas decline late in the week.
