Tonight..Northern portion, N wind 20 to 25 kt...easing to 10 to 20 kt in the late evening and overnight. Brookings southward, N wind 10 to 20 kt...easing to 5 kt after midnight. Wind waves nw 5 ft at 6 seconds. SWell sw 2 ft at 15 seconds and nw 2 ft at 3 seconds.

Synopsis for the southern oregon coastal waters..Gusty north winds and steep seas are expected across all waters today into tonight. The thermal trough weakens tomorrow and conditions will improve. Relatively light winds and low seas continue into Saturday, though a weak cold front will move through with some rain. Gusty north winds and steep seas are expected to return later in the weekend.
