DISCUSSION
Issued at 203 PM EDT Tue May 13 2025
A few isolated showers this afternoon will diminish as the evening approaches and dry conditions will filter in. High pressure builds in over the Gulf at the surface, will keep the flow light and conditions dry and warm. Upper level ridging moves over the region Thursday increasing subsidence, allowing for temperatures to rise into the low to mid 90s for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Remember all heat safety tips when doing anything outdoors. Drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade or inside. A slight chance for sea breeze collision showers tomorrow afternoon along the interior will be the only chance of rain for a while. Unfortunately, the warm dry pattern looks to persist as we move into next week.
AVIATION
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 203 PM EDT Tue May 13 2025
A few lingering showers will continue to move away from the area.
VFR conditions prevail as high pressure dominates the pattern.
MARINE
Issued at 203 PM EDT Tue May 13 2025
Quiet marine conditions will continue through the rest of the week and into the weekend as high pressure at the surface and ridging aloft remain in control.
FIRE WEATHER
Issued at 203 PM EDT Tue May 13 2025
Much needed rain moved through the area yesterday with a few lingering showers today. However rain free conditions persist into next week, but RH values should remain above critical levels and winds will remain light.
