GMZ800 Synopsis For The Coastal Waters From Bonita Beach To Suwannee River- 1028 Am Edt Mon May 12 2025
Synopsis - A weak cold front in the gulf has brought deep tropical moisture and breezy conditions out of the south. Winds will be between 10 to 15 knots today with widespread showers and isolated Thunderstorms. The front will be pushing through the state by Monday evening which will help to start drying us out and helping to bring wind speeds down. Winds are expected to be out of the south and southwest for the rest of the week around 5 to 10 knots.

The rainy pattern from the past couple of days will slowly transition to a more dry pattern for the remainder of the week as the stalled front finally vacates the area. Sunshine returns tomorrow with only a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. High pressure will settle back in by mid week and temperatures will begin to climb with the 90s making a return by mid week. Warm, dry conditions will be the main story to close out the week.
