FOR THE EVENING UPDATE . Frontal boundary across north Florida is the focus for scattered showers and thunderstorms spreading from west to east across the northern nature coast. The boundary will sink very slowly south overnight with shower activity also translating a bit further south, but is expected to remain across the nature coast overnight. Series of weak U/L disturbances riding over the frontal boundary will continue chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday which will approach the central Florida peninsula late in the day . however there remains the risk of an isolated shower or thunderstorm developing ahead of/south of the main band of shower/thunderstorm activity. Stronger storms may produce brief heavy rain, wind gusts to 40 MPH, and frequent cloud to ground lightning. Training of storms is possible across the nature coast through Sunday with risk of localized flooding of streets and low lying flood prone areas.
