Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Melbourne FL 942 AM EST Sat Dec 7 2019

DISCUSSION. A weak front just north of central Florida connects two areas of low pressure over the NE Gulf and SE of the Carolina coast this morning. These features will generally remain in place through today, with ridge building down the eastern U.S. coast leading to low level winds becoming northeast and increasing slightly through late day into this evening. Airmass remains rather dry with some clouds building in from the west and diurnal cu developing leading to partly sunny skies this afternoon. However, rain chances remain out of the forecast. Temperatures will remain near normal today, with highs in the mid to upper 70s for most locations.

AVIATION. VFR. Some mid-level cloud cover building in from the west may lead to cigs around 10kft into this afternoon, with few- sct cu around 4-5kft developing into the late morning/afternoon.

MARINE. Favorable boating conditions expected today. Relatively light (5-10kt) northwest to north winds this morning will become north to northeast through the afternoon. Seas will range from 1-2 feet.

I do not sell or share any user data or anything else for that matter. I do not keep site logs longer than I need to to keep bad actors off the site. Basically, I delete them after looking at them. There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
