DISCUSSION
Issued at 154 AM EDT Sat Sep 23 2023

The official first day of fall is being ushered in with drier air and slightly cooler temperatures. After the above average temperatures most of the summer and oppressive humidity, it may actually seem chilly to some. High temperatures will top out just below 90 for most, with some still reaching the lower 90s.
However, with the lower humidity, it will still make for a pleasant day. Humidity begins to creep up throughout the week as an upper level trough and associated frontal boundary pull more moisture over the area. By Monday, a more typical pattern with afternoon showers and storms returns and the refreshing air mass of the weekend will be just a memory.

AVIATION
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 154 AM EDT Sat Sep 23 2023

VFR conditions prevail through the period as dry air settles over the area. Winds will be mostly out of the East to Northeast, with the possibility of a sea breeze shift for coastal sites.

MARINE
Issued at 154 AM EDT Sat Sep 23 2023

Pleasant boating conditions this weekend as dry air remains over the area. Moisture increases through the week increasing the possibility of showers and storms over the water.

FIRE WEATHER
Issued at 154 AM EDT Sat Sep 23 2023

RH values dip very close to criteria levels today, especially for areas north of I4. Winds will be East/Northeast throughout the day.
Moisture begins to return through the week, and rain chances return.
