DISCUSSION
Stacked ridging over the region to keep the hot and dry conditions in place today with afternoon high temps in the 90s and heat index values around 100. The afternoon seabreeze will keep coastal areas above normal highs but inland areas may approach record levels.

General ridging is expected to move back over the region through the long holiday weekend keeping warm and mainly dry conditions in place.

AVIATION
(06Z TAFS)
VFR conditions continue with light and variable winds and isolated to patchy shallow field fog possible mainly north of terminals thru 13Z. Winds turn onshore as Gulf seabreeze develops and moves inland with SCT-BKN moderate cumulus through 18Z-00Z.
