DISCUSSION
Issued at 209 PM EDT Mon May 19 2025
Main weather story for the next few days will be the heat. High pressure at the surface coupled with ridging aloft will keep the above average temperatures and rain-free conditions around through mid week. With high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and some apparent temperatures reaching triple digits, it will be important to stay hydrated and take breaks if working outside. A little extra moisture enters the picture Wednesday afternoon as a frontal boundary moves towards the peninsula. Best chance for any shower activity will be Thursday. However, the boundary is expected to linger over south Florida for a couple of days before lifting back north, keeping rain chances possible for south FL through the weekend. High pressure builds back in early next week.
Some patchy fog could develop early tomorrow morning, especially for the nature coast. Any fog should lift by mid morning.
AVIATION
(18Z TAFS)
