DISCUSSION

Zonal flow aloft on Friday will be replaced by an upper ridge building over the region through the weekend. This ridge will then persist over southeast states through the remainder of the forecast with no rain in the forecast. This ridge will also then persist through the remainder of the forecast. Temperatures will continue to warm by the end of the week and remain above normal through next week. Highs today will range from 78 to 83 degrees inland, and from 72 to 77 degrees along the coast due to the cool Gulf waters. Highs will trend warmer into the middle 80s inland areas for Saturday through Thursday with cooler values near the coast.
Lows tonight in the middle 50s inland to around 60 at the coast will slowly trend warmer to the lower to middle 60s by Wednesday night.

Beach Forecast: A HIGH risk of rip currents through tonight will briefly become MODERATE Saturday through Sunday afternoon. A HIGH risk of rip currents will return Sunday night through Tuesday. /22
