Marine Weather and Tide Forecast for Woodbine, GA

SHORT TERM
(Saturday through Sunday night)

A stalled front will sit over central Georgia this weekend, before lifting northward Monday. West/southwest slow Saturday will bring moisture across northeast Georgia, leaving rain chances at 20-30% over north central Florida with isolated thunderstorm potential in the afternoon. Scattered showers and storms spread area wide on Sunday as southwest flow deepens and the Atlantic sea breeze pushes inland. Above average temperatures continue this weekend with highs in the 90s inland and upper 80s to low 90s on the coast.

LONG TERM
(Monday through Thursday)

Daily rain chances will be in place through next week as a cold front approaches from the northwest mid-week. The highest storm chances will be in the afternoon and evenings inland as sea breezes push inland and interact, but some isolated storms will last later into the night Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures remain in the 90s through Wednesday, before cooling down a little bit Thursday following the frontal passage.

High pressure will build in from the northwest through the weekend resulting in a weak flow pattern and afternoon sea breeze development each day. Moist southern winds will develop next week and fuel daily thunderstorm chances. Additionally, successive weak troughs of low pressure, emerging from the Gulf, will increase storm chances and wind speeds as they pass, especially on Tuesday.

Rip Currents: Moderate risk of rip currents during the afternoon hours after the sea breeze develops.

FIRE WEATHER

Low humidity will be present today across inland areas, dropping near 30-35%, with values remaining low on Saturday and improving on Sunday. Flow will become more southerly by Sunday resulting in increased chances for daytime showers and storms building along the afternoon sea breeze and over areas of boundary convergence through mid-week. Dispersion will be good across northeast Florida today, with high values over most of inland southeast Georgia.
