DISCUSSION
Satellite image shows clouds moving in from the northwest, with a thicker layer of clouds mainly along and north of the UMpqua Divide and coast. Radar is showing very light returns and this in combination with a weak disturbance could result in a few isolated showers in the above mentioned areas.
Otherwise, it will be dry with milder temperatures in the afternoon. Cloud cover will also gradually diminish this afternoon as weak ridging builds in.
Tonight and Thursday will be dry and milder, then another weak shortwave could bring off/on showers along the coast and north of the Umpqua Divide. -Petrucelli
AVIATION
4/12Z TAFS....Mostly a mix of VFR/MVFR out there this morning, except areas of higher terrain obscured. Some light rain/drizzle and local IFR is possible along the coast this morning.
Isolated showers could also affect the Umpqua Basin today. Ceilings mostly lift to VFR this afternoon, with VFR persisting into this evening. Expect mostly VFR tonight into Thursday morning, with some local MVFR ceilings near the terrain west of the Cascades.
