KEY MESSAGES
- Cold Air Returns Tonight with light snow in the north

- Mild Weather through the week with light precip possible Sunday

DISCUSSION
Issued at 330 PM EST Tue Feb 10 2026

- Cold Air Returns Tonight with light snow in the north

The warm air advection continues today with temps reaching into the 40s across southern lower Michigan. That warm air will be short lived as a cold front will drop down across the region tonight into tomorrow. However, a lack of instability and moisture will keep any snowfall light. highest accumulations will be along and north of the US 10 corridor.
An upper level low will swing through the upper Great Lakes tomorrow into Thursday. That will allow for cold, dry NW flow.
Along with that front will be blustery winds upwards of 25 mph.
Colder temps will continue through tomorrow.

- Mild Weather through the week with light precip possible Sunday

While temperatures drop down into the teens by Thursday morning, there will be a rebound through the latter half of the week with another warm up into the weekend. Temps will get back into the 40s as warm air advection and a ridge build over the central US. The latest trends have a surface low moving south of the Ohio valley, and a weak clipper moving through northern Michigan. Outside of some light precipitation late in the weekend that would leave Michigan fairly dry. With the warm air advection, if precip does occur Sunday, there is a trend it could be rain.
