Synopsis for the long island and connecticut coastal waters.. Offshore high pressure will continue to gradually weaken and give way to a cold front approaching from the great lakes. The front will move through the area Friday night. High pressure then builds in from the great lakes this weekend, before sliding offshore on Monday. The high remains in control through at least mid next week.
