Combined seas 4 to 6 ft dominant period 8 seconds, building to 6 to 9 ft dominant period 8 seconds in the afternoon.
Tonight..W to nw winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt, becoming 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 30 kt late, except 10 to 20 kt eastern portion. Isolated gusts to 45 kt in the evening. Combined seas 9 to 12 ft dominant period 8 seconds.

A 1003 mb low was centered in southern nevada. Strong to gale force winds and dangerous choppy seas will affect the waters through the weekend.
