synopsis for the southern california coast and santa barbara channel including the channel islands national marine sanctuary and national park...at 04z, or 9 pm pdt, a 1029 mb high was centered 1100 nm west of point conception, and a 992 mb low was centered in colorado. N-nw winds and seas will increase tonight, reaching gale force overnight tonight/Friday. This will create widespread dangerous boating conditions, especially at the islands and the near shore waters south of point conception.
