at 1056 pm pdt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of cape mendocino to 37 nm southwest of eureka, moving northeast at 25 knots.

Synopsis for northern california waters..Steep waves continue in the outer waters but will linger until late morning in the northern zone. Northerly winds and seas will remain elevated south of cape mendocino today and then ease on Sunday. Lighter winds and lower seas are expected north of cape mendocino over the weekend.
