at 1146 am edt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near kitty hawk to the mouth of the alligator river to 9 nm south of albemarle sound, moving east at 40 knots. Strong to severe storms will continue to form through this evening.
