Marine Weather and Tides
Harlem Heights, FL

Version 3.4
What's New / NOTES
5/20/2018 -- NOAA is having problems with the data feed that I use to draw the graphs. They are aware of the issue and working to resolve it. Sometimes changing the location by about a mile will give a correct graph. 3/3/2018 - There is a new GOES Satellite for the east coast that required rewriting that part of the code. Please report any issues.

Morning update
A few morning showers and storms have diminished as the
seabreeze is getting underway, leading to subsidence over
the waters. Expect showers and thunderstorms will begin to
develop along near the coast through noon. This activity
will likely spread inland, colliding with the east coast
seabreeze by mid afternoon, where storms will be more
widespread. Outflows will gradually work back to the west,
with thunderstorms shifting back to the west and out into
the gulf of mexico this evening. In all, it's looking to be
a much more active thunderstorm day than we have seen in
quite some time. Beneficial rains are expected across a good
part of the suncoast, but along with the rain will come the
threat of gusty winds and frequent lightning. Make sure you
head indoors as soon as you hear thunder or see lightning
in the distance!
no substantial changes were made to the existing forecast.

Aviation (12z tafs)
Vfr conditions will continue through around 16z to 18z when
thunderstorms will develop near most terminals. Will
maintain vcts this issuance, but will likely include tempos
in next TAF set as confidence is fairly high in widespread
coverage of shra tsra 20z to 00z timeframe. Ifr to lifr
ceilings visibilities possible with any storm along with
gusty winds.

Marine
High pressure will remain over the waters through the
coming week with light winds and seas. The only exception
will be with any marine storms which could locally enhance
winds and seas. This would be most probable from the evening
hours through the overnight and into the early morning each
day.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
