GMZ800 Synopsis For The Coastal Waters From Bonita Beach To Suwannee River- 855 Pm Edt Fri Jun 23 2017
Synopsis..No major marine hazards are expected through early next week. High pressure will continue to dominate our area producing a south to southeast flow with winds taking on a southwest and west component during the afternoon/evening hours as the sea breeze forms and pushes inland. While greatest rain chances will remain inland, typical summertime boating precautions should still be exercised as any Thunderstorm can produce gusty winds and locally higher waves. Early into the middle of next work week, a cold front will push south and stall across our area shifting winds to more of a northeasterly direction.

Update
Rather quiet evening for mid to late june as the drier air
suppressed the convection as expected today. There have been a few
showers and a thunderstorm or two across mainly southwest florida
along the sea breeze collision early this evening where deeper
moisture is beginning to move back in. Can see the sea breeze
collision pretty well on satellite and radar extending from
sumter county south near the hillsborough polk county border to
near punta gorda and CAPE coral. The east coast sea breeze should
have a little more push so the band of clouds and a few showers
will drift back toward the west coast and offshore after midnight
and have left 20 to 30 pops until shortly after midnight from
around tampa bay southward. Late tonight any convection should be
over the coastal waters with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies
prevailing. During Saturday the surface ridge axis sets up across
central florida with a more south to southwest flow across the
nature coast and with deep moisture in place isolated to scattered
convection should develop late morning near the coast and then
move develop inland during the afternoon. Similar scenario
expected from around the tampa bay area southward, but should
start a couple of hours later more like midday early afternoon
before majority of convection moves inland east of interstate 75
late afternoon and early evening. Overall the current grids zone
forecast look ok and only made some minor tweaks to forecast.

Aviation
A few showers and possibly a thunderstorm early tonight could
cause some brief MVFR local ifr conditions, but for the most part
not expected to impact the TAF sites except pgd. For the remainder
of the night into early Saturday morning expectVFR conditions to
prevail. Then with daytime heating some areas of MVFR ceilings
will be possible during mid to late morning Saturday followed by
scattered showers and thunderstorm during the afternoon and
evening.

Marine
High pressure will continue to ridge across the waters through the
weekend with light winds becoming onshore and increasing some near
the coast each afternoon. The only marine concern will be locally
stronger winds and rougher seas with any thunderstorms that occur.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
