Update
Morning satellite imagery shows considerable low stratus
across western sections of the forecast area early this
morning along with some lingering patchy fog. As the
morning continues expect the low clouds and fog to mix out
with partly sunny skies developing by mid to late morning.

As for the rest of today expect the weak cold front across
the central peninsula to stall out as weak low pressure
develops on it over the eastern gulf later today, with this
low then tracking northeast across the northern peninsula
tonight bringing with it increasing rain chances to the
area. In the interim though increasing amounts of Sun later
this morning and into the afternoon will likely help to set
off some showers during the first half of the afternoon,
with higher rain chances expected across central and northern
zones during mid to late afternoon as the aforementioned
low develops and overall convergence increase across the
region. Will remove early morning fog wording in a mid
morning update, otherwise the rest of the forecast is on
track with no other changes planned at this time.

Aviation
Prevailing ifr lifr CIGS along with MVFR ifr vsbys will
should slowly improve into the MVFRVFR range after 16z
as the low clouds and fog dissipate. Additional brief
MVFR ifr conditions will be possible through the remainder
of the TAF forecast period as shra tsra gradually develop
over the region during the afternoon. Northeast to east
winds in the 5 to 7 knot range will become southwest at 7
to 10 knots after 18z, with winds shifting to the northwest
and north at 10 to 12 knots after 06z tonight.

Marine
Weak low pressure will develop over the eastern gulf along
a stalling front later today and tonight. East to southeast
winds in the 10 to 15 knot range with seas of 2 to 4 feet
will prevail over the waters the remainder of today with
increasing showers and storm chances during the afternoon.

Ongoing forecast covers this well, so no changes are expected
in the next update around 10 pm. A stronger cold front will
sweep southeast through the waters late tonight through
early Thursday with a period of small craft conditions
developing and lingering through Thursday night. Lighter
winds and seas will return to the waters on Friday and
into the upcoming weekend as surface high pressure builds
in over the area.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
