Version 3.4
What's New / NOTES
5/20/2018 -- NOAA is having problems with the data feed that I use to draw the graphs. They are aware of the issue and working to resolve it. Sometimes changing the location by about a mile will give a correct graph. 3/3/2018 - There is a new GOES Satellite for the east coast that required rewriting that part of the code. Please report any issues.

Update
Quiet morning across the region with just a few showers and storms
over the northeast gulf off the nature coast. Ridge axis remains
across north central florida with some drier air in the mid and
upper levels now across the central and southern zones. This drier
air should limit overall convective coverage to isolated south
and east of the tampa bay area for today. From around tampa bay
north across the nature coast there should be enough moisture,
expecially levy county, to see scattered showers and storms
develop as the sea breeze pushes inland late this morning and
afternoon. Convection will wind down this evening and push back
out over the eastern gulf waters during the night. However, toward
morning a few showers could move onshore into levy and citrus
counties as the ridge axis drifts south setting up a more
southwest to west flow into this area. Overall the current
grids zone forecast look on track with no major changes planned
for morning update.

Aviation
MainlyVFR conditions are expected through the period with
isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible
this afternoon and evening. This convection could cause some brief
MVFR local ifr conditions. Light winds this morning will become
onshore with the bay sea breezes at the coastal sites later this
morning and afternoon, then light and variable winds will return
to all terminals after 03z tonight.

Marine
High pressure across the central waters will sink to the south
through the remainder of the week and lie across the southern
waters during Thursday through Saturday. A light easterly wind
flow is expected across the waters today, becoming east to
southeast on Wednesday as the high drifts south with a weak
pressure pattern supporting an onshore see breeze component along
the coast each afternoon. During Thursday through Saturday a
weakening frontal trough will move into and stall out across the
northern gulf waters as the surface ridge axis lies across the
southern peninsula with a southwest to west flow expected across
the waters. Wind and seas will be higher near any thunderstorms,
otherwise no headlines are expected.

It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
