Discussion
Sunny, dry and hot this memorial day weekend...

today-tonight... Weak high pressure ridge will extend from the gulf
of mexico across the florida peninsula and into the atlantic.

Morning soundings across central florida continued to show
precipitable water below one inch. It was more moist over south
florida, but with the ridge in place, there will only be slight
moderation of the dry air mass as the sea breeze pushes slowly
inland this afternoon. Skies look sunny except for a few cumulus
that form, then dissipate as dry air aloft mixes down.

After morning lows in the 60s, and even a few upper 50s,
temperatures will recover and be warmer than yesterday. No changes
expected to the current forecast for mid 90s across the interior and
upper 80s at the coast.

Aviation After a few patches of stratus along the coast early
this morning, it will beVFR into tonight. Local MVFR br possible
early Sunday morning.

Marine
Today-tonight... About as good of boating conditions as you could
expect for a memorial day weekend. Weak high pressure ridge was
producing variable winds around 5 knots and seas around 2 feet.

Little change through tonight except for the afternoon sea breeze
near shore around 10 knots.

Fire weather
Today... Shallow layer of cool air brought below normal minimum
temps, but low level warming was indicated on the morning soundings.

This will cause high temps to be several degrees warmer than
yesterday. Afternoon dew points will be in the 50s again as dry air
just above the surface mixes down. This will create min rh values
below 30 percent across most of the interior. Short range guidance
is showing lower rh than our current forecast, so will need to make
some adjustments. Still, based on fuel moisture, only orange &
seminole counties will require a red flag warning, though rh values
will be just as low in the adjacent interior sections.

Sunday... Min rhs will drop to 30 to 35 percent across the interior.

Marginal duration of low rh is expected.

Mlb watches warnings advisories
Fl... Red flag warning from noon today to 8 pm edt this evening for
orange-seminole.

Am... None.

Forecasts... Lascody
impact wx... Johnson

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
