Short term (this afternoon - Wednesday)
Long hot summer continues with scattered sea breeze and boundary
interaction thunderstorms developing and only slowly moving drifting
inland and around the area into the evening hours. Activity to wane
and dissipated well after sunset with cleaning skies and warm humid
overnight conditions.

Upper trough down the eastern seaboard to move into the western
atlantic Wednesday as large southern plains upper ridging slides
into lower mississippi river valley and gulf of mexico.

Upper ridging and drier air filtering into the region aloft to
suppress cloud cover and slightly elevate daytime temps with
isolated to scattered after convection mainly over inland areas
tomorrow.

Long term (Wednesday night - Tuesday)
A moderately amplified upper level pattern will set up over the
conus to start out the long term period. Troughing extends over the
west coast and over the western atlantic. In between this troughing,
ridging extends from the gulf of mexico northward through the
mississippi river valley and will be the dominant upper feature over
the southeast u.S. Through the end of the week. This ridging will
slowly shift eastward by Saturday becoming more elongated as the
flow becomes more zonal. The upper ridge will extend from bermuda
westward over the southeast u.S. And into texas through the weekend
and into next week.

On the surface, remnants of florence has merged with a frontal
boundary as it moves off the new england coast and continues
tracking eastward into the atlantic ocean. No effects from this
system will be felt here in florida. Behind this boundary, surface
high pressure extends south along the east coast and into the gulf
of mexico. This will keep a predominant northeast through east wind
flow through the long term period. Daily showers and storms will
form over the inland areas and move westward through the afternoon.

Temperatures will continue to be above average for september with
heat indices near 100 degrees each day.

Aviation
OverallVFR conditions with light sea breeze winds and vcnty tsra
from around 18z through 00z. Vsby and CIGS reduced around convection
and gusty winds possible. No other aviation impacts expected.

Marine
Weak high pressure to remain stretched across florida and E gulf
through the week with light winds and slight seas except locally
higher near thunderstorms. Pressure gradient tightens up a bit over
the weekend and into early next week with slightly stronger easterly
winds and seas.

Fire weather
Low level summertime moisture remains high with daily rain chances
and warm temps continue.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
