Discussion
Early morning water vapor and upper air analysis shows a broad area
of high pressure over the southeastern u.S. With very weak low
pressure spinning off the florida west coast. At the surface, a weak
pressure pattern is in place with light and variable winds across
the region.

For today, an easterly low-level flow will become established as
high pressure over the northeast extends southward over the region.

A weak sea breeze will try to form in the afternoon right at the
coast, and with plenty of moisture in place, we will see a typical
distribution of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and
evening, generally consolidating near the i-75 corridor. As we lose
heating this evening, any leftover activity will generally drift
westward while dissipating.

On Friday, high pressure aloft will remain over the southeast as
another retrograding low moves across the southern part of the
florida peninsula. High pressure north of the region at the surface
will keep an easterly flow in place. Some drier air (pws less than
1.5 inches) will move in from the northeast over the northern
portion of the forecast area during the day, keeping rain chances
lower. From around i-4 southward, moisture will remain higher, with
greater coverage of thunderstorms.

Easterly flow will continue this weekend and into next week, keeping
the west coast sea breeze rather weak. Scattered thunderstorms can
be expected through the week with continued warm temperatures.

Aviation
MainlyVFR conditions are expected outside of shower and
thunderstorm activity. Winds will remain generally light through
Thursday, trying to turn onshore with a weak sea breeze right at the
coast. Thunderstorms will be possible for all sites through the
afternoon and evening starting around 18z.

Marine
Easterly flow will remain across the waters into next week, with a
weak sea breeze forming along the coast each afternoon. In general,
winds and seas will remain below headlines, but will be higher in or
near showers and thunderstorms.

Fire weather
No fire weather concerns as relative humidity values will remain
above critical levels. A typical distribution of scattered showers
and thunderstorms can be expected. No significant fog is anticipated.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
