Update
Windy Friday with fast-moving strong to severe storms in the
afternoon evening...

Deteriorating boating conditions expected from later today
through Friday night...

a very warm day is ahead thanks to warm air advection in place with
low level high pressure to our east and approaching low pressure
system to our west. This morning's observed soundings from tbw and
xmr continue to show a strongly capped and dry atmosphere above 850
mb... Making rain chances today look pretty slim. However, rap
forecast soundings for the remainder of today do show some weakening
of the cap in the afternoon and also slight moistening with the
southerly flow in place. That said, some showers are possible
along the east coast sea breeze this afternoon but are expected to
be few and far between because of so much dry air aloft to
overcome. Highs will reach the mid 80s along the coast and
approach 90 inland.

This evening tonight (previous discussion)... The best chance for
showers should occur across the north interior around sunset as a
result of a sea breeze collision with activity lifting N NE and
offshore volusia by midnight or a little after.

A squall line is expected to advance eastward across the central
gulf of mexico overnight as sfc low deepens across the mid south.

Deepening and moistening S SW flow across ec fl may bring some
showers across southern sections late tonight.

Aviation
MainlyVFR through the TAF period. Se-s winds 10-12 knots,
increasing 15-17 knots at coastal terminals behind the sea breeze
this afternoon with gusts up to 25 knots. Could see some showers
develop across the interior around sunset this evening and vcsh may
need to be included with the next package. Southerly winds increase
to around 35 knots just above the sfc (around 2k ft) in tightening
pressure gradient, and llws has been added for this TAF package over
interior terminals along with dab.

Marine
No changes made to the today and tonight portion of the forecast.

However, the gale watch beginning Friday morning at 14z 10am edt
will likely be upgraded to a gale warning by this afternoon for
frequent gusts to gale force.

Today (previous)... Boating conditions begin to deteriorate as se
pressure gradient begins to tighten between departing high pressure
to the east and deepening low pressure over the lower ms valley. Se
winds will increase 15-20 knots during the day so will headline a
caution for winds. Seas currently 3-4 ft and that should not change
much as seas will be slower to respond to the increase in southerly
winds.

Tonight (previous)... Southerly pressure gradient tightens further
supporting 20 knots near shore and 20-25 knots offshore so will
initiate a small craft advisory this evening across all the waters.

Seas building 5-7 feet offshore, 4-5 feet nearshore.

Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases.
