Scattered showers and storms continuing across interior portions of
the peninsula this evening with activity expected to gradually
diminish over the next hour or so. For the overnight, skies will
become mostly clear with another mild late-summer evening expected.
Lows will bottom out in the mid to upper 70s, around 80 at the coast.
For the evening update, adjusted pops a bit to account for latest
radar trends otherwise the ongoing forecast looks good.
Vfr expected through the period outside of showers and storms. Light
winds expected overnight with an easterly wind flow anticipated for
the day Thursday. Introduced vcts areawide around 17z. A weak seabreeze
will be possible near coastal terminals during the afternoon hours.
As always, localized MVFR ifr conditions will be possible in and
High pressure remains over the area producing light winds 10 knots or
less and seas around 1 foot through the end of the week. Winds will
be on the slight increase by Friday and into the weekend with easterly
winds in the 10-15 knot range possible. With that being said, the
only real marine concerns will be higher winds and seas in the
vicinity of showers and storms that move over the coastal waters.
