Evening update
Widespread showers and thunderstorms continue this evening
over interior sections of the florida peninsula, especially
polk and hardee counties. This activity is expected to
gradually build south southeastward over the next few hours,
affecting parts of desoto and highlands counties through
midnight. Elsewhere, more spotty activity is expected as
outflow boundaries from earlier storms continue to propagate
westward, initiating additional showers and storms. Storms
should eventually dissipate by or shortly after midnight
with the loss of daytime heating and increasing stability
across the region. The remainder of the night will feature
light and variable winds and mild overnight low
temperatures.

The existing forecast was largely on track with only a few
minor tweaks to the pop grids to reflect recent trends.

Hourly winds were also updated to bring in the most recent
observations and model data.

Aviation (00z tafs)
Scattered showers and storms continue this evening mainly
across interior sections of the florida peninsula. This
activity will likely linger into the night and eventually
dissipate by midnight. At this time, most terminals look to
remain west of ongoing storm activity. Aside from remnant
storms, winds will eventually shift to the least, becoming
light and variable overnight. Some patchy fog is not out of
the question toward sunrise Wednesday, but confidence is too
low to warrant mention in the forecast at this time.

Marine
High pressure will remain fixed over the waters into the
weekend with light winds and favorable boating conditions.

Isolated marine thunderstorms will be possible each day from
the late afternoon through overnight and early morning
hours. These storms may produce locally gusty winds and
increased seas, but otherwise, no widespread marine impacts
are expected.

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
