GMZ800 Synopsis For The Coastal Waters From Bonita Beach To Suwannee River- 847 Pm Edt Thu Aug 17 2017
Synopsis..Surface high pressure will remain across the region with generally light winds and seas. Winds will turn onshore each afternoon with the seabreeze. Winds may increase a bit with easterly surges early next week as the pressure gradient tightens between low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north. Otherwise, the only marine concern will be scattered overnight and early morning Thunderstorms which may lead to locally stronger winds and rougher seas.

Evening update
Scattered thunderstorms continue this evening from southern
polk into highlands counties. This activity has decreased
in overall size and intensity over the last hour, and this
trend is expected to continue. A large area of stratiform
rainfall will also continue extending from these storms to
the south and west on the heels of moderate northeast upper
level winds. Lingering showers and storms should dissipate
by midnight with light winds and mild temperatures
overnight.

The only change to the forecast was to adjust pops to fit
ongoing activity, and reflect expected short term trends.

The associated sky grids also were tweaked to show more
widespread cloud cover with convective debris.

Aviation (00z tafs)
Ongoing storms over the interior peninsula should gradually
diminish by 05z. A stray storm or two may remain in the
vicinity of krsw kfmy where vcts will be maintained.

Otherwise prevailingVFR is expected much of the period.

Winds will become light and variable overnight, increasing
and shifting to the south and southwest by 18z fri.

Thereafter, scattered storms will develop over inland areas,
potentially affecting near coastal terminals.

Marine
High pressure will remain over the area through the weekend
before lifting northward. This will maintain light east to
southeast winds for the next few days. Early next week, a
tightening pressure gradient may allow for easterly wind
surge activity for a few days. Otherwise, the only marine
concern remains scattered thunderstorms, prompting locally
rougher marine conditions.

It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
