Discussion
Another early start to diurnal convection, although warm mid lvl
temps... H70 readings arnd 10c and h50 temps arnd -6c... Kept the
strongest convection from dvlpg until arnd 20z. Storms initialized
north of i-4 by midday and have propagated steadily southward thru
early evng with outflow boundaries interacting with the east coast
sea breeze. Highest radar recorded winds were in the low 40mph
range, but highest recorded sfc gusts were blo 30mph. LCL heavy rain
in and around the orlando metroplex with radar estimating up to 3.5"
just east of mco. One brief funnel cloud vcnty of mco but no reports
of damage or touchdown.

Rap40 analysis shows the bermuda ridge axis over central fl...

resulting in a very weak pgrad with variable winds thru 10kft: wsr-
88d wind profiler at kmlb indicated E winds arnd 10kts, the usaf
915mhz profiler measuring NW winds arnd 5kts... And ktbw showing n
winds arnd 5kts. Deep moisture concentrated over the spine of the
peninsula due to east west coast sea breeze convergence, drying
rapidly to the east with rap40 indicating h100-h70 mean rh blo 70pct
over the LCL atlc waters.

Lingering convection south of u.S. 192 will gradually burn out
through 02z. A few shras could work their way back to the coast, but
bulk of the precip will occur along and west of the fl turnpike
south of lake-k. Remainder of the evening will be quiet once
available energy is consumed, while the drier air over the atlc
stifles any coastal shower development. Will update fcst to remove
precip once it dissipates... Remainder of the fcst is in good shape.

There are five sources. 1) Documents and manuals from a variety of sources. These have not been checked for accuracy and in many cases have not even been read by anyone associated with L-36.com. I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. If you have questions on these, please contact the author. 3) Articles that represent my personal opinions. These are intended to promote thought and for entertainment. These are not intended to be fact, they are my opinions. 4) Small programs that generate result presented on a web page. Like any computer program, these may and in some cases do have errors. Almost all of these also make simplifying assumptions so they are not totally accurate even if there are no errors. Please verify all results. 5) Weather information is from numerious of sources and is presented automatically. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
