Discussion
Poor to hazardous boating conditions continue today...

High rip current threat at the atlantic beaches today...

h100-h70 ridge axis centered off the carolina coast extending SW to
the yucatan peninsula will gradually weaken today as it is eroded by
a short wave trof to its north, and a well dvlpd storm system to its
west. Position of the ridge will maintain a steady e/se flow that
will tap a fairly dry/stable airmass... Pwat values btwn 0.75"-1.00"
and h85-h50 lapse rates blo 5.0c/km. Morning raobs showing a sharp
subsidence inversion in the h85-h70 lyr that will effectively cap
the airmass well blo 10kft.

Lcl pressure gradient will slacken as the aforementioned ridge
weakens over the W atlc, resulting in diminishing sfc winds. This
will weaken the marine influence, allowing temps to warm into the
l80s interior, u70s along the coast.

Combined seas of 5 to 7 feet over the nearshore waters and east
winds up to 15 mph will continue to produce choppy to rough surf
along the atlantic beaches. A high risk for rip currents also
continues today and residents/visitors are reminded to heed the
advice of lifeguards as well as beach patrol flags and signs.

Aviation Thru 26/12z.

Sfc winds: thru 26/00z... E/se 9-13kts... Ocnl g18-22kts coastal
sites. Btwn 26/00z-26/03z bcmg e/se 4-7kts.

Vsbys/wx/cigs: prevailingVFR... CIGS btwn fl040-060.

Marine
High pressure centered off the carolina coast will maintain a
moderate to fresh e/se breeze thru the aftn. LCL pgrad will relax as
the ridge slowly weakens. However, the length of the easterly fetch
extends clear back to bermuda, which will maintain an moderate swell
that will continue to enhance LCL seas. Boating conditions will
remain poor to hazardous with combined seas up to 7 feet lingering
thru late aftn. Small craft advisory for all but the nearshore
volusia waters thru 5pm.

Mlb watches/warnings/advisories
Fl... None.

Am... Small craft advisory until 5 pm edt this afternoon for
flagler beach to jupiter inlet 20-60 nm-
volusia-brevard county line to jupiter inlet 0-20 nm.

Short term/aviation... Bragaw
long term/impact wx... Lascody

I have no idea of they are useful or accurate, I leave that to the reader. 2) Articles others have written and submitted. It is not checked for accuracy either by anyone at L-36.com or by the source which is typically the US Government. See the NOAA web site for their disclaimer. Finally, tide and current data on this site is from 2007 and 2008 data bases, which may contain even older data. Changes in harbors due to building or dredging change tides and currents and for that reason many of the locations presented are no longer supported by newer data bases. For example, there is very little tidal current data in newer data bases so current data is likely wrong to some extent. This data is NOT FOR NAVIGATION. See the XTide disclaimer for details. In addition, tide and current are influenced by storms, river flow, and other factors beyond the ability of any predictive program.
